Charlotte Workers’ Compensation Attorney
Attorney Juan Sanchez has been practicing law since 1995 and is licensed in both Florida and North Carolina. A retired sergeant from the United States Army Reserve Corps of Engineers, he began his legal career as a prosecuting attorney in Fort Myers, Florida, handling everything from misdemeanor and juvenile crimes to second-degree felonies.
In 1997, he began working as a staff attorney in Miami, Florida for the Kemper Insurance Company, which later became Broadspire Insurance, handling workers’ compensation defense cases. Almost three years later, he was recruited to work for the Atlas Pearlman Law Firm in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to help run its workers’ compensation department.
There, he defended companies such as Travelers, ESIS, Summit, AIG, Gallagher Bassett, Broadspire, Liberty Mutual, First Comp, The Hartford and others, gaining insight into the various defense practices employed by the insurance industry to deny injured workers their benefits. This period of experience and training would later prove invaluable.
By 2002, Attorney Juan Sanchez had had enough of the insurance industry. He left Atlas Pearlman and opened his own practice in Plantation, Florida, with the intention of helping the injured. By 2004, the practice was almost entirely plaintiff-oriented.
In December 2004, Attorney Juan Sanchez moved to Charlotte, North Carolina. After receiving his North Carolina license, he began working for The Olive Law Firm in May of 2005 as head of its workers’ compensation department. Since that time, he has built a practice from the ground up and has handled over 1,300 workers’ compensation and personal injury claims.
The practice is exclusively plaintiff-oriented with the stated goals of providing excellent client service, maximizing recoveries, and minimizing the sometimes callous and abusive practices of the insurance industry. Attorney Juan Sanchez is happy to meet and speak with every one of his clients on a regular basis. He enjoys meeting his clients at home and often attends medical appointments to help them deal with specific medical concerns. Please feel free to contact him at any time. All initial consultations are free. Mr. Sanchez is fluent in Spanish.
